Radio Paisano, 6934.5 AM, 2325 – spoof songs, ID and email by man in Italian accent, more songs. New station! Radio Amica, 7550.54v AM, 2246-0304 – Nice reception of Euro-pirate Radio Amica. French talks by man and woman, techno music. This is my first Euro pirate reception since DXing pirates again starting back in May. New station! KUSA, 6925 USB, 0120 – wide variety of music, ID’s with email address. Poor to fair. Random Radio, 6925 USB, 0204 – Friday’s Three Song Shuffle from the ipod. New station!
The Crystal Ship, 6876v AM, 2243 – tune in to female computer voice ID, 10 Years After, Steve Miller. Poor signal but slowly improving.
WBNY, 6950.55 AM, 2310 – Heard Paul Starr at tune in, throwing me off the track thinking this was M-A-C. A few minutes later I made out a WBNY ID. Weak signal so far. Voice of KAOS, 6925 USB, *2326-2355* – Sign-on with “The Voice of KAOS is on the air!” QSLs Many thanks to Thinking Man for QSLing this weekends broadcast with this interesting QSL, my 6′th from TMR. Also, many thanks to DJ from Radio Ga-Ga for this morse QSL. My email program corrupted the image file before I saved it to my hard drive, and DJ kindly sent a replacement. This is my 15′th Radio Ga-Ga QSL! I still haven’t got a chance to pick up my QSLs from the mail drop. I’ll post the Channel Z QSL as soon as I get my hands on it..
Radio Ga-Ga, 6925 USB, *1239 – opening with Free For All by Nugent then some Billy Preston, Superfly theme song, Space Oddity by Bowie and more. Lots of fading and noise on this early morning reception. Thinking Man Radio, 6925.1 USB, *0217-0239* – nice signal, playing the Cars, KISS, Devo, Styx, and Guess Who. Mentioned a new QSL. Audio clip of ID at 0221 UT.
I’ve not had much listening time lately, but have received a few QSLs that I haven’t posted yet. Many thanks to Captain Morgan and the Voice of Honor for the Labor Day QSL’s. I also have one from Radio Ga-Ga, but it arrived corrupted and I am seeing if D.J. can send a replacement. I also have received a Channel Z QSL card at my trusty mail drop! I hope to be able to pick it up this weekend, and will make a scan of it as soon as I can. Thanks Z!
Captain Morgan Shortwave, 6924.5v USB, 2300-2305 – caught the tail end of the show, unid song then ID and email by the Captain and off. WMPR, 6955.2v AM, 2325 – WMPR with their deluxe wide-band audio, ID, frequency and dance music. Channel Z, 6925.04 AM, 2347 – very happy to have caught Channel Z this weekend! Initially poor but rapidly peaking, playing old rock music by California bands such as White Bird, Embryonic Journey by Jefferson Airplane, Genesis by Hot Tuna, Ripple by Grateful Dead (one of my fave Dead songs) and more. ID and song titles at 0014 then back to the music. |
